The Red Shoes

I have always had a love of shoes. In a former life, I could also walk steadily and confidently in heels...then I had children! These shoes made me buy them. I couldn't argue, they had to come home with me. They are going to be worn to a very special occasion shortly though...


I have a couple of days to learn how to walk in heels this high again, without breaking another ankle (which was actually broken whilst wearing flat shoes ironically!). Wish me luck...!

    oohhh they are lovely, reminded me of the red shoes in the ballet in the Hans Christian Anderson film with Danny Kaye in.

    They are beautiful!
    I think you should wear them (however impractical this may sound!) with jeans to the shops a few times to break them in.
    If you can trick your brain into thinking they are casual shoes, a night out at a special occasion will be a breeze!

    Thank you Fro Fashion Fairy... some good tips there! Wore them yesterday and they weren't too bad, but the old feet are a bit achey today, and I have to wear them again tonight to the party part of the wedding...! Emma :)

    Oh, they're fab! Hope you can walk in them. H bought me some amazing heels for our last anniversary (quite out of character, I might add). They're stunning but I can't walk a metre in them so they are now on a mantelpiece cheering up the room.

    Were these lovelies found in Denmark? My red suede pumps are tired and should be replaced soon. But, alas! Jutland is not a haven of pretty and impractical shoes.

    Thanks Sage...I can imagine with all those beautiful cobblestoned streets nearby heels might not be the easiest to walk in!! They are LK Bennett shoes, bought in London unfortunately, BUT they do have a website and I think they deliver!! www.lkbennett.com Emma :)

    Excellent! Thank you :) If I ride my bike and walk very carefully on my toes, it is possible, though not practical or advisable to do cobblestones in heels!
